Hi, i do not find mystic spindles good for getting books.
And yes, mystic spindles are good thing for the new pets who have 0 intelligence. The few (~20) first points are quite easy to get, then it gets harder.

I found out, that restocking at book nook can reward with several super rare books, compared to mystic spindles where you'd have to play few hours each day for around 2-3 weeks to buy 1 book.

Mystic spindles are good incase you want to train your brain tho.
