My only complaint is that he looks slightly stocky when he's supposed to be a bit leaner. Other than that it looks great.

It's a bit of both. When I commissioned the character I was hoping his (It's a boy, but I take no offense. I can see why you'd think it was a girl) design would be a little more oriental or patterned. I was also hoping for a bit more color.
