Hey there! Did you get everything you wanted from the event? I hope you did. Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I knew I'd probably end up writing a novel and kept sending my short reply messages first and suddenly realized that it's been two days and I never replied to you. I normally send replies to messages as soon as I get them but it was so easy to get distracted with so many messages constantly on the page for invites and accepts. And look how much I've already rambled. So don't ever worry about sending me long messages ~ just like you, I wish more people would actually communicate a little bit. It would be a lot easier to find places to post and chat if people were actually chatting about something and not just holding one sentence conversations that consist mostly of chatspeak anyway. I am shy and I'm not. I have a very, very hard time approaching people I don't know and just talking to them ~ online or offline. Unless I have a reason to approach someone, and even then I approach them for the reason and then mosey on my way. But if someone approaches me I'm fine. And once I get to know people I'm fine ~ and you can't shut me up whether it's verbally or typewritten. And I never seem to have a problem when I see someone in need of something that I can assist with. Most of my friends here are or were new when I crossed paths with them and I love to help out people who are new and have questions or can use a little help to become more familiar with things. And for some reasone I love to stick people's sticker albums if I see that they don't have many stickers. I was here for over 6 months before I met anyone and that was only because I commented in a news post asking a question about the posts topic and another user posted that she would help me out and then commented my profile and walked me through some things step by step and befriended me. She's moved on to other sites in the meantime and I don't see her but I met another girl the same day who had just joined the site and she and I have become very close over time. But I'm pretty sure part of the reason I love to help new people or people who have been here but kept to themselves, is because there are so many things to learn about with this site and I never even realized it until I had been here for 8 or 9 months and started talking to more people and finding out about things they were doing that I had never even heard of and wished I had known about sooner. And my sticker album was empty for a long time since I didn't know anyone and didn't know if we were allowed to send someone a sticker and ask them to put it our album for us and being shy I was afraid to ask anyone. Until I finally asked my friend if she wanted to have a sticker system with me where we could send each other stickers and the other would know it meant to put it in their album. And we still do that. So I think new people should get stickers in their album and know that they have the option at any time to send me a sticker and a comment in case I delete the event notice accidentally and I'll put it in their album for them. And people going for the achievements who need a lot of stickers stuck but feel awkward asking anyone to do that many stickers for them ~ I don't mind sticking 10 or 20 or more stickers to their album for them ~ and I try to buy the inexpensive stickers from the sticker shop a lot so I have a bunch in my vault and I'll help them come up with enough for the achievement that they want. Boy, that was a lot of rambling about stickers. So yeah, if you want or need stickers in your album I'm more than happy to help with it. But I'm like you and don't like new people who go around begging for things ~ I won't help them out because you know it's only going to get worse from there. They don't want to put any effort into learning about stuff or getting their things ~ they want it all handed to them for nothing. We all work for what we have and they should too. I love helping but I'm not here to give someone a free ride, you know? I only recently started to go to Gaia again and it's mostly because I have a friend on there that I talk to all the time who's the reason I started going back there again at all. And neopets ~ they were my first experience with avi/pet sites (Gaia was second) and I used to love that site. Really, really love it. I saw the changes coming about but it didn't affect me too much so it didn't bother me too much. And the only friend I have on there is the first girl on my friend list here ~ the one I'm close with now ~ and we added each other just to do it even though we don't go there any more. It took one thing that neopets did to me that completely changed how I felt about them and looked at them and I thought I'd get over it since I had loved the site so much but to this day I haven't gotten over it and will never like them again. But I'll tell you that story another time since I've already rambled for at least a half hour, if not more, and I've still hardly said anything. I promise my messages won't always be this bad. They'll still be a little long probably but hopefully they'll cover more than stickers and helping new people if they're going to be long. Sorry. You're welcome! *huggles* oh my gosh, I never even thought about it in relation to using HA when we laugh. That's so cute though! You must be really shy like me. I have a phobia when it comes to forums and only started getting really brave over the last couple of months. So I get myself addicted to avatar sites and on most of them you have to go into the forums to earn their currency to buy stuff. I've been on some sites for a long time and really only started making friends in the last couple of months. One good thing is that people who like avatar sites usually join every one that they come across so when you make a friend they're probably on all the other sites you're on too.
