Goddess of the East

"What brings you here, Mortal?"

You are 'greeted' by a woman dressed from head to toe in silvery-white, her hair the same shade as her clothing. Only her strange, silvery horns and ice-blue eyes seem to break the pure absence of color.

Before you can answer, she speaks again, her voice quiet and stern, but not unkind. "You must have lost your way, to end up here. Those worthy of the Gods may enter through the gates of Theede - but only those of great power may remain." She gazes at you intently and blinks slowly. "I sense no great power in you."

Slowly, she looks away, gently folding her fingers together in thought. "You would do best to leave this place," she speaks again after a long, awkward moment of silence. "My power is not what it once was. Protected inside these gates you will be, but for how long, I cannot say."

Once again, she gazes at you, and you shiver, overcome by a look in her eyes you can't quite place. Is it fear? Love?

"Follow the path that led you here," she says, nodding towards the direction in which you originally came. "My followers will lead you out. Merry part, good traveler."

You decide you best do what she tells you, leaving the great Goddess alone in her brooding. You can't help but notice, however, that you are far colder when you leave than you were when you arrived in this strange place...

The Land of Theede

Theede is an altnernate plane of the country Pridd, and known as the immortal world. Theede is identical to Pridd in size and terrain; even the cities have the same names and the same buildings. The only difference is the city of Cydry: In Pridd, Cydry is the country's capital, a revolutionary city heavy in culture, education, and steamworks. In Theede, Cydry is the city of the Gods and those that serve them. Mortals who ascend to Theede after death are not allowed into the city - in fact, they cannot even see it.

Theede and Pridd are connected by a very common-looking dirt road between the planes; however, it is well-hidden and one must get by the gate guardian before they may enter. Only on very, very rare occasions are mortals allowed into Theede (such as Virgil, who serves the gods from the mortal plane), and they are never permitted to stay long.

Unlike Pridd, Theede is normally in an eternal state of spring - although sometimes Aerynn will grow bored and make it snow.
