A Little About: (Came from a happy home, but his dad was rich and not the touchy-feely sort or the kind to say 'I love you'. He was quite close with his mother, a Shanghai-nese immigrant, but she died when he was young.
At a young age, he received a chemistry kit and became obsessed with it. He used to prick any guests who came into his house with a needle to obtain a drop of their blood and look at it with the microscope. Grew up to major in microbiology and epidemiology. He's absolutely fascinated with diseases of bacterial, parasitical, and viral origins.
While at college he fell in with an anarchist and activist crowd. Although he was studying to go into medicine, he soon came to be horrified at the pain and suffering non-human animals were put through for the sake of human beings. He became close with animal liberationists and militant vegans and was soon on the wrong side of the law. He grew disgusted with most of his own species and has no qualms about hurting or killing them.
Hires prostitutes of both sexes and tests experimental microbes on them, thus earning him the name Syphilis ('love with me and die'

Has a twisted interest in the effects of illness on humans, his own and through history, especially epidemics like bubonic and pneumonic plague, hemorrhagic fevers, tuberculosis, etc. He also has a blood fetish.
Although he's cruel and very often hurts others in extreme ways, he does have the capacity to be caring. He loves non-human animals and will go to great lengths to protect them. He's also completely against violence done to children, as he views them much in the same way as animals.
His canine companion is an Akita mix he rescued from a testing lab (he tied up the scientists, sealed the building, and released the labs own toxins into their air system). He jokingly named him Black Death, because of his coloring and his origin. It stuck and got shortened to B.D. Currently his closest and most beloved companion.
