CONTEST OVER! I would like to thank everyone for making this a very fun contest to host, and for the excellent turn out; so many people entered their designs, this became very hard for me to judge! I did however pick winners, and for the first time in my history of holding tattoo contests I believe I'm going to actually get the winner's design done! AND THE WINNERS ARE: 1ST PLACE- g33k Your design was screaming my name! Your Ouroboros had a very Celtic and/or Norse feel to it. I'm one of those very proud of my mother's side of the family and her full-blooded Irish heritage, not to mention I'm absolutely fascinated with Norse mythology and he also gave me that Jormungandr feel. I may change up the thickness to Ouroboros's body, as I like it when he's thick at the head and gradually grows thinner towards his devoured tail. Hopefully it's okay to play with the design a little bit before I get it done; don't worry though I won't be changing anything else up as this Ouro's head was fabulous to me!! 2ND PLACE- Slashagasaurus I adored the uniqueness of your entry, Slash. The only reason I didn't choose it for my tattoo is because of my sheer pickiness. In general though this is perfect for a tattoo and has a very "tattoo design" feel to it. If you don't already you should go into the tattoo design-making business! I know people would pay to have designs drawn out by you. 3RD PLACE- Angel_Abolished (infinity symbol) As mentioned in my long rambling post about what I'm looking for in a design, I'm not normally taken with the "infinity" Ouroboros. However, I think your design was very nicely done. I really liked how I could see his belly scales and how he twisted and turned. PLEASE READ THIS THROUGH! I will be giving out prizes as well as 1 million to every user who entered the contest (this includes the winners, as it's only fair). I will also be counting who made the most posts up until the end of the contest (I won't be counting any new posts from here on out). Now, PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH ME. This may take a couple of days, and it wouldn't be appreciative to be mailing or pinging me every day about receiving prizes, SP, etc. Again, thank you everyone for your participation, this was really fun! Ok giving it a shot  @Magelet i seemed to be stumped a bit on this size thing, i have a few ideas im gonna try but i had a question? if its too big or small is that a disqualification or if it still looks good with a resize are we still in? because mine just might be off by a bit and i understand size is real important, especially when resizing a piece, because detail can be lost. Well thank you peeps for showing interest! And thanks for the compliment on my username, Open, lol. I've been a big Tamora Pierce fan since I was younger. @Bonic The actual tattoo when I get it done on my back will be 2-3 inches in diameter. I simply mentioned the size since, the smaller the tattoo is, the less detail can be done before it just looks like its bleeding together. As far as the drawing itself goes? It doesn't matter what size it is. As long as the detail will be easily translated into a smaller tattoo, then it should be fine. Last Edit by:

Eh i think i got it... or close enough anyways @Magelet, well lucky you i actually have done quite a few tattoos myself :p (Im not really a "tat artist" not professionally anyway, just have a few guns and the works) So i understand what you mean by details. Last Edit by:

@Bonic Well you should be fine then, I think it helps a little when you know something about tattoos. But hey, even if you wind up doing a design and you think it has too much detail? I'm not gonna disqualify anyone for something like that. At the very least I could have the tattoo artist recommend what, if any, detail should be cut out of it before he/she gets the final design ready. Last Edit by:

@Magelet While I am scribbling away on this did you want me throw small amounts of colour on the sketch its self or two different versions with and with out bits of colour and shading?

@ip0k3joo Sure, I don't see why not, as long as the emphasis is still placed on the tattoo itself and the design. :3 As far as placing it on my arm? Nah. I think it's just a matter of personal preference. Not only do I think arm tattoos as more "masculine" (again, its just my personal opinion, it may not be so for someone else) but I also plan on going into psychology/counselling where if I happen to wear short sleeve blouses or tops? @Magelet oo i see your point  I always liked the idea of like an armlet, but I guess if you have a muscular arm, it looks funny/manly :3 also by shoulder, you mean the back or right on the ball socket between the shoulder and the arm joint thingie o-o;? my scroll |

@ip0k3joo Here, I googled some random chick's back and marked the general area I plan on getting the tattoo. Hopefully that'll explain more clearly where I plan on getting it done. :3 Upper right back shoulder. Maybe a little more to the right than where I marked.  Last Edit by:

My antivirus is up and it didn't warn me. I also just ran a scan since you mentioned that and it scared me, but thankfully nothing happened. However, it does also make me a little upset KathyDOG77 is trying to fool with me. >.>
